What We Believe

We believe that the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and the New Testaments in their entirety as set forth in its original writings, are the only written Word of God, divinely inspired, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in the one eternal God, who is Spirit, infinite in being and in all perfections, Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things, existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of His will. All three Persons have the same nature, attributes, and perfections, but each executing distinct, but harmonious, operations in the work of creation and redemption.

We believe that there is only one Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the Eternal Son of God and who in His incarnation united to His divine nature, a true human nature and so continues to be the only God-man. We further believe that there is only one Gospel of Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; perfectly obeyed the law of God, gave himself as the only ransom for sinners and rose again bodily on the third day for our justification; He ascended to the Father’s right hand and is the only Mediator between God and man.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the blessed Trinity, whose ministry is to convict people of their sins, to make effective the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and to dwell in every born again believer, and by His baptism to unite all to Christ in one body. We further believe that we should be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit who is the power, guide and Counsellor of all our daily walk, worship and service.

We believe that God in His mercy and grace, in accordance with His eternal purpose, saves all who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ, justifying them through faith in the Savior and giving them new life by the Holy Spirit. We further believe that true believers are kept by the power of God so that none is lost; but the idea that this secure position in Christ entitles one to sin with impunity is false and pernicious.

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but sinned, and in consequence incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, bringing sin, guilt, depravity and death upon all its posterity except the Virgin born Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ made up of all true believers.

We believe that, at a day and hour known only to God, our Lord Jesus Christ shall come again personally, bodily, visibly and gloriously to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace. We believe in the resurrection of the just and of the unjust, and in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and the eternal punishment of the unjust.

1. Believer’s Baptism

The form and practice of baptism accepted in this church is that of baptism of believers by immersion.

2. The Lord’s Supper

It shall be observed on a regular Sunday once a month. Faithful participation to remember the grace of our Lord is expected of all members. We welcome fellow Christians who have already received baptism in a church who holds the same faith with us to partake in the Lord’s Supper.
