今期為大家推介的書籍名叫”The Outward-Focused Life” (Dave Workman 2008)“, 在此暫且稱它為「外向的生命」。請不要誤為這本書是有關「如何交友」或是「怎樣與人交往」等題目。這書所要帶出的重點是有關「服侍人」、「作僕人」的重要性和實踐的途徑。有趣的是作者沒有提出紙上談兵的建議，書中180多頁集合了作者越百個親身服侍人的見證和感想。
這書雖然是用非常簡易的日用英語寫成，但書中的實況經歷絕對足以挑戰我們今天作主僕人和外展傳福音的心態、方法和標準。因它所指出的「服侍人」、「作僕人」，往往是在教會四幅牆以外進行。如果你有心志在「服侍」上作多方面學習的話，鼓勵你不妨打開這本書看看。
